Peterborough is the home of the “Peterborough Petes” a competitive Ontario Hockey League (OHL) member team. You can be assured that every game is as exciting as watching the NHL.
Aboriginal culture
Curve Lake First Nation people are the Michi Saagig or Mississaugas of the great Anishinaabe (uhnishi-nahbe) nation. They are located in Curve Lake, Ontario, just 35 km north of Peterborough, ON.
Maple syrup
A Canadian Tradition! There are five sugar bushes in the area that offer maple tours, tastings, and other springtime attractions.
Canoe Museum & local attractions
Peterborough is home of the traditional cedar canvas canoe. The Canoe Museum offers the world’s largest collection of canoes, kayaks and paddled watercraft. More than 600 in number, the watercraft and their stories have a pivotal role to play in understanding our past and our collective future.
